Friday morning, I had my 28 week OB appointment. From what they can tell by ultrasound, Chloe is weighing in at 3 lbs 7 oz. She's measuring about a week big. We got to see her in 4D, but didn't get any pictures of her. The umbilical cord was in her face. I hope we'll get another chance when we go back in two weeks. She looks great and I am feeling pretty good. In the past month, I've lost 4 pounds. That's putting my total pregnancy weight gain at 2 lbs. We'll know more how to treat the Gestational Diabetes issues I'm having on Tuesday. But, like I said, I'm feeling great. My sugars and ketones have been where they are supposed to be. I know I have a lot of people praying for us, and I believe that God is answering our prayers.
Then started our super busy, but fun weekend. After Jason, Addi, and I left the doctor's office, we ran a lot of errands, including taking back the slacks that didn't fit Evan for Easter. While I was in Belk's, I happened upon a clearance rack. I got Payton and Addi matching dresses, Addi a jacket, and Chloe a super cute onsie all for $20. Evan also got a new shirt for the price of the slacks, but that wasn't included in my total. I love good deals!
Friday evening, I met with my banking girls for dinner. Three weeks ago, my friend, Hannah had a sweet baby boy named Emmitt. He is just beautiful! I'm so glad that I got to meet him. We get so busy talking and laughing that time slips away from us. We were at the restaurant until closing time. Here's a picture that my friend Sara had someone take.
Here's Christy, Traci, Sara (who is due with her 3rd baby in November), Emmitt, Hannah, me(due in 11 weeks), and Jill (due in October.) Christy had a baby boy last April. We are waiting for Traci to tell us she's expecting.
Saturday morning at 10:00 am, you can find us on the t-ball field. Here's the Lil' Monsters marching onto the field. We played the Tiger Bats. Their team has twice as many players as ours and it made for a pretty long game. We spent most of the game fielding, which led to a little competitiveness among our own players. We have a few things to work on next practice, but the kids really did do a great job!
When I went to the doctor on Friday, Addi, sat quiet and still just about the whole time. How do you get an almost 2 year-old to do that, you ask? We brought a little pad of paper and a pencil. She LOVES to draw! We decided to get her a magnetic doodle board and she loves it. She likes to draw (as best as any two year-old girl can) ser-caws (circles). Here she is on Saturday doodling away in the van. Don't you just love her hair?
To wrap up our Saturday, we went bowling. My sister and her family met up with us for the second game. Payton really enjoys bowling and asks to do it just about once a week. She looks too cute in action!
And even with a few granny shots, Evan beat his daddy on the last game. I'm not sure what Jason's score was, but Evan won with a 73!
This morning we went to church and I'm off to do some grocery shopping and some laundry. Did you do anything fun this weekend?
