When you love someone and their heart is aching, some times, yours aches too, simply because you know they are in pain. When we found out that my niece, Jessi, had a broken heart, because her lizard passed away, our hearts hurt too. We were invited after Evan's soccer game to say our good-byes.

Jessi got her pet lizard, Kamo, as a gift for her 7th birthday from her mommy and daddy. She was so proud of her pet Gecko.

Uncle Chad led us in prayer. Jessi said a few words about Kamo. Then, she offered an invitation to any one else who would like to say a few words.

Just about everyone in the family that was there said a few words. Here is Pops offering a few words of condolence.

I can't remember exactly what Evan said, but I do know that he made me proud by the way he stood up and the words he said.
