Bethlehem Walk

Two weekends ago, our little family of 6 went on a Bethlehem Walk at a local church with Papa F and Grandma.  It was a very neat way for our family to get a small taste of what the first Christmas was really like.

On our walk to Bethlehem, we were stopped by Roman soldiers, saw a colony of lepers, and paid our taxes.  In the town of Bethlehem, we got a few treats.  Addi really liked this part. Oh, and yes, Giggle Baby made the walk with us too.

We also got to see many live animals.  This camel was being a little camera shy.  Then, I think he down right got a bad attitude - let's just say, I had to crop out some business he was taking care of.

After we walked through Bethlehem, we went out for frozen yogurt at Cherry Berry.  All of the kids LOVED this part!

I really hope that going on the Bethlehem Walk helps the kiddos to see what Christmas is really about.  For it's real meaning, is way more special and exciting than Santa and the North Pole. =)

  2. We did a Bethlehem Walk last year and LOVED it. Unfortunately we couldn't find one in our new city. Sadness.
