Vacation Fun

Last year, our little family of 6 took a little vacation with our best friend family, who we call the Wiggles.  We decided to make it a surprise for the kiddos.  Our first surprise was meeting the Wiggles for breakfast at McDonald's.  After the kids ate and played for a little while, they put together a puzzle that Kim made - it said, "We're going to Branson, MO!"

The kids were so excited!  We had another surprise that we didn't plan.  The McDonald's we went to was having a re-grand opening of their play area and decided to mark the day with celebration.  We got to watch Sparkles the clown do a little performance and of course, we had to get a picture made with her!

After just a few hours of driving, we made it to Branson.  We stayed at the Grand Country Inn.  It has everything you need for a few days of fun!  Best of all, their vacation packages are very affordable! Our favorite part of Grand Country is the indoor water park.  Karsyn loved the baby/toddler area!  I love her chunky little baby legs!

Our favorite part of the indoor water park was the basketball pool.  Addi loves to swim and she smiled like this the whole time!

In the evenings, the kids loved playing with their friends in the hotel room.  They played many games of rummy.

All 4 of our kiddos had a blast the entire time!  It was the first time that our little family of 6 went on a vacation as a little family of 6. =)

Branson is famous for shows!  Our vacation package included tickets to two shows.  We decided to only go to one, so that we could spend more time swimming.  We watched the 'Amazing Animals' show.  The kids thought it was great!  There sure are a lot of us.

A round of black lite mini golf was another perk to our package.  One afternoon, Jason and Jon took Evan, Payton, Katelyn, and Jesse to play.  Us moms kept the little ones in the rooms for a much needed nap.

There are so many neat features at the different buildings in Grand Country.  The kids got a kick out of this huge fiddle.

We ventured away from our hotel one night, to eat at the Great American Steak and Chicken House.  This place has the yummiest corn bread and the nicest staff!!

If you go to Branson, you have to have an old time picture made.  We go way back with the Wiggles! =) All eight of the kiddos, from ages eight months to eight year old had a great time!  And as they get older, we'll be able to add more Branson fun to our trip - like maybe a trip to Silver Dollar City.
