To celebrate the last night of VBS, our little family had a switch-a-roo sleepover with our best friend family. Evan stayed the night at their house. Katelyn slept over at ours. Kim sent me this picture of the boys. It was Evan's first non family sleep over. =) The boys watched Monsters University. In the morning, Kim made them pancakes for breakfast. They spent the morning switching between playing basketball and video games.
Payton LOVED having Katelyn sleepover. In fact, all of the girls did. After VBS, Addi and I picked up a pizza and ice cream. We ate and then the girls settled in for a movie. They giggled until all hours of the night. In the morning, the big girls gave the little girls make overs. I ended up taking four little girls wearing way too much cotton candy scented perfume and blue eye shadow out to breakfast. They were too cute. We went to McDonald's to eat and play. After, we went to pick Evan up. We stayed to visit and play for a while. Here's the girlies having a good time.
Friday night, we decided to do another switch-a-roo sleepover. Because, why not? (And because once school and sports start up again, we won't be able to do it very often.) Stephen stayed the night at our house. Payton slept over at Uncle Billy and Aunt Kary's house with Natalie and Emily. Aunt Kary posted these pictures on Facebook. My word! I think the girls had a ball! They made bleach pen shirts. That ate sundaes. They gave each other manis. Aunt Kary made a big yummy taco and burrito bar. I wish I could have went too. ha!
Meanwhile at our house, we had chicken nachos. We had lots of birthday cake ice cream. I even made s'moores. The boys watched The Lego Movie. Ugh!!! We also played a game Stephen played called Imangineiff. It was really fun! I've learned from this experience that boys laugh just as much as girls at sleep overs. There's just a whole lot more burping and farting. =)
I'm so glad that the kiddos had so much fun!

You all are so much fun. I'm glad everyone is doing great! :)
ReplyDeleteI want to go to Aunt Kary's for a sleepover too. That sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteYour description of boy sleepovers was hilarious. I only know boy sleepovers, but the girls' sleepovers sound really fun! So I kind of feel you on the Lego Movie. Through most of the movie, I was like "this is so silly and pointless." But then the ending kind of hit me and I "got" it. It had a pretty good message. :-)
