My goodness! We've had a fun filled Halloween. We were so glad that Addi's eye cleared up! The day started off kind of crazy. The girls and I dropped Evan off at school. Then, we ran to Wal-Mart, because Payton needed different shoes to wear with her costume. We weren't the only ones doing a last minute dash to Wal-Mart before school started. We saw many people getting things to put the final touches on this fun and scary day. After Karsyn and I got the big sisters to school, we ran a few errands. Every time we saw something spooky, Karsyn would tell me not to worry that it was only pretend. ha! In the afternoon, we headed back to the school for the girls' Halloween parties. We started with Addi's. Karsyn loved getting a treat off of Addi's plate. One sister is eating fresh pineapple and grapes. One is eating a cupcake. That sums up the way that these sisters always eat.
Our next stop was Payton's class. She has such a sweet teacher!
Once the girls got out of school, we went to pick up Evan from Academic Team practice. Waiting in the parking lot with my little witches was fun.
We got the big brother and then had to run a few more errands. We also stopped by Sonic to grab a few corn dogs for dinner. They were only 50 cents each, so we couldn't pass up. We ate, Daddy got home, and then it was time to meet at Uncle Billy's house for pictures. Here's our little family's official Halloween picture for 2014. Uncle Billy always gets a good picture of our family. It turns out it's because he takes 3090 of them. He is such a good sport! He knows that I love pictures.
And here is Uncle Billy, Aunt Kary, Natalie, Emily, and Leon. Leon is Nat's boyfriend. He's a nice kid!
After pictures, we went to a little church's Trunk or Treat. We go to this one every year. Here's the kiddos getting candy from the Duck Dynasty themed truck.
Up next was Nana and Papa's house. Nana always makes up treat bags for the kiddos. Of course, they think it's just great.
Then, we took loads of pictures, because that's just what we do.

We visited a few houses. Despite having many layers, it was really cold out. Karsyn kept telling us that she was shivering. We made a pit stop back at Nana and Papa's house. Both Addi and Payton's dresses had LED lights. We couldn't get Payton's to work at home, but Nana fixed it the second time we stopped by. You really can't tell from any of the pictures, but both girls had blinking skirts.
When we left Nana and Papa's house, Natalie and Leon left to go to a bonfire. (Nat - Addi wasn't mad at you for leaving, I promise!) We headed to the church that Evan and Stephen's soccer coach pastors. They had a trunk or treat as well. We had seen so many Elsas from Frozen in the last week, but there was a big girl Elsa with a blond wig. Addi and Karsyn's mouth dropped open and they could not stop staring at her. It was so funny. After we left the church, we headed to IHOP for scary face pancakes.

We got seated and the kiddos couldn't wait for their pancakes.
Maybe Addi could have? She was having fun too, she was just being really silly.

The scary face pancakes made each of our kiddos have happy faces.
After IHOP, Uncle Billy, Aunt Kary, Emily, and Stephen called it a night. Our little family swung by Uncle Brian's house for one last trick or treating stop. On the way home, Payton said it was the funnest Halloween ever. Lots of good memories were made!

That sounds like a super-busy, and super-fun, Hallowe'en. It was pouring rain here again so we just went trick or treating at Dave's work again. Then we had a quiet evening at home.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I love that everyone got very involved with dressing up and enjoying the fun. We did get IHOP for lunch that day although I didn't get any pictures except on Eddie's phone. Sigh. Halloween always seems to be a little chaotic although it helped this year that Evan didn't have school, and it was Friday night so no worries about staying up too late. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a fun Halloween! I love the family picture...you all looked great!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, Walmart was INSANE on Halloween. What was up with that?!?
