Today sure was Monday! But first, let me tell you about Sunday. It was my birthday! I got a few gifts from my wonderful family and friends. Payton painted me a beautiful cross! We went out to dinner with Grandma and Papa. Uncle Billy stopped by to see me and I got to talk to Aunt Ashley, Aunt Becky, and Nana and Papa on the phone! It was a very nice day and I felt very special! That brings us to today. At school, my class made bird feeders out of peanut butter, bird seed, and toilet paper rolls. It was a really fun project to do, but it was soooooo messy! I think we'll be finding seed and peanut butter in the next few weeks to come...maybe the rest of the school year. =) After school, Karsyn and I went coat shopping for Evan and Payton. We're expecting a cold snap tomorrow and we wanted to make sure that they'd stay nice and warm. We also bought Addi a new pair of gym shoes. That makes 3 pairs since August!!! After school, Evan tried Payton's art class. While the big kids were away, the little ladies played. We decided to make the most of our last warm day by riding bikes in the drive way. While we were out, Nana and Papa came by with a birthday gift. The girls loved showing them how they ride their bikes.

Payton has been trying to get Evan to try art class forever! He usually plays basketball between soccer seasons, but since he's retired (ha!), he decided that he'd give it a try. I let the instructor know about his color blindness. He was very kind and really worked with Evan. Evan enjoyed the class and told me to sign him up. Payton was super happy about that! Here's their finished work for tonight.
Evan and Payton are both hoping that it will work out for them to continue taking classes even while soccer season is in swing. I hope that it will! Hope you have a great rest of the week!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you survived your Monday! And I'm glad Evan got to try the art class and enjoyed it so much.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you had an awesome birthday! And is there anything your kids aren't good at? Haha! Both E and P are little artists! :-)
