Kellie Graduates From High School - Deep In The Heart of Texas {2015]}

Watching my niece, Kellie, graduate from high school was the main event of our Texas trip.  It's hard as her aunt to process it all.  I remember being told in the waiting room that she was born and rushing into the delivery room to see her.  She was amazingly beautiful.  I remember the heart ache I felt when Becky and Eugene announced that they were moving their family to Texas.  A few months after their move, Jason and I were there to watch as Kellie graduated from kindergarten.  In the blink of eye, Kellie became a high school senior.  And now, here we were to watch her graduate.  Just typing that now, almost a week later, brings tears to my eyes.  Kellie went to a very large high school.  There was around 700 seniors graduating.  Here's the field ready for the ceremonies.

 Here's all of us there to watch Kellie.  Stephen wasn't feeling well, so Aunt Kary stayed at the hotel with him.  After a lot of pondering, Jason and I decided that he would stay at the hotel with Karsyn and Addi.  It was very hot out and they were still recovering from a long road trip.

 "Pomp and Circumstances" started playing and we saw our graduate.  She's the one with the long blonde hair, 5th in from the right side.

The senior class.

After all of the speeches,  it was diploma time.  Kellie is 5th in line in this picture.

 And then they called her name.

 Here Kellie is shaking hands with administrators.

 Even from way up in the stands, we could see her big smile.

 Presenting the Class of 2015.

 Here's Aunt Becky, Kellie, Uncle Eugene, and Grandpa James with our graduate.

I couldn't be more proud of Kellie.  She's very excited about going to college.  She's decided to follow in her mom's footsteps and go into the nursing program.  Way to go Kellie!!!

  3. Congrats to Kellie! Glad she has a good plan for the future. I wish her the best of luck. And schools in Texas are bigger too. I went to a small high school so our graduating class was less than a hundred. :-)
