As usual, Karsyn and I kicked our weekend off on Friday. We spent the day doing laundry and painting Autumn leaves. Karsyn LOVES to paint.
After school, we headed to our usual Friday night hang out - Addi's speech therapist office. Things on that front are going so well! After Addi's session, we booked it back to town to be a few minutes late to Payton's first basketball practice of the season. Payton is going to be playing point this season. She's really excited about that. Here she is making a layup.
Jason got off work in enough time to watch Payton practice for a while. When we all got home, my brass boys got busy practicing for Evan's Saturday morning band field trip. I love it when my guys play together. I wish that I would have gotten more of Evan in the shot. =)
Saturday morning was a bit crazy. We do have to get used to the crazy, because it's going to be that way until after the holidays. Yikes! So, we all got up before the crack of dawn, quite literally, to drop Evan off for his band field trip. I was very relieved to know that Uncle Billy and Aunt Kary were tagging along. It was a huge comfort knowing they would be there. About an hour and a half later, I had to take Payton to work on her project for Lego League. From there, the little ladies and I booked it to our church for Karsyn's Sunday School Class Thanksgiving party. When I RSVP, I thought that Addi's basketball game was scheduled for a hour later than what it really was. Ugh! We were only able to stay for half and hour, but boy, the little ladies had all kinds of fun. They played games. Here's Karsyn in action.
Here's Addi and the rest of the crew catching up with Karsyn. ha ha!
Then, the little ladies did a Thanksgiving craft.
After the craft, we had to book it back to town to pick up Payton. As we were leaving, we got handed these super cute turkey cupcakes. I just love them!
We got Payton from Lego League and made it to Addi's basketball game just in time. As we were walking in, the ref handed me Addi's basketball picture. I LOVE it!!!!
The Pink Panthers played an awesome game. They won 44-8!! In the last period of the game, their coach made them make 4 good passes before they were allowed to shoot. Here's Addi in action.
After the game, we went out to lunch with Nana, Papa, Papa James, and Emily at our favorite pizza buffet. Lord help me, Papa Gene got Addi and Karsyn telling knock knock jokes. As you can imagine, things got pretty silly.
While we were out, Aunt Kary texted me a few pictures from the band field trip. These kids are crazy!!!!
The girls and I weren't home too long before it was time to get Evan. We spent the rest of the afternoon doing a little laundry and housework. After Jason got off of work, we went out to dinner with Grandma and Papa Floyd for my birthday. =) I can't believe that I didn't take any pictures. boo! Sunday morning, we did our normal get to Sunday school a few minutes late. Even being late, I'm always so glad that we go. I really love the lessons along with the fellowship. After church, we went to visit Jason's Uncle Robert in the hospital. We drove to the hospital in Downtown Tulsa where I had Addi. Jason told me his room number and I looked at him kind of crazy. I knew that was the Labor and Delivery floor. We took a quick bathroom break and when I came out with the girls, Jason smiled really big and told me that we were at the wrong hospital. Luckily, the hospital that Uncle Robert was at was only about a mile away. ha ha! We had a very nice visit with him and he is recovering from surgery well. We were all starving when we left. So, we headed to Chili's for lunch. Evan was more than happy about that!
Pay is a huge fan as well.
We got our food and all got a kick out of Karsyn eating her corn on the cob. Baby girl devoured it!!!
Karsyn loves corn!!!
After lunch, we bought groceries and then headed home for the afternoon. I made some chili for this week and did a little laundry before we headed back to evening church. It was a really fun and busy weekend. I hope that yours was a good one.

Your weekends sound about as crazy as ours! What is this Lego League? Jackson is way into Legos and I'm trying to encourage it.
ReplyDeleteLego League is a program that teaches children how to build robots out of legos. Then, they program them to do specific tasks, so that they can compete against other teams. It's Payton's first year to do it and she's having so much fun.
DeleteI am so glad Addi's speech therapy is going well. 😁
ReplyDeleteYour weekends are so crazy! They make ours, which feel busy, seem calm. But I love how much you all get done. And I love how much time you get to spend with extended family.
