Fall Break Day 2 {2012}

After church services this Sunday, the kids and I visited a little with Grandma Shirley and Grandpa James. Evan asked Grandma when she was up for another game of Wa-hoo.  She told him they could play a game of it the next time we came over. So, we  planned a visit for yesterday, since the kiddos were on Fall Break.  Here they are playing Wahoo!  It's very similar to the game of Trouble.

Wahoo is played with marbles.  During their game, Addi would take the extra marbles out of the coffee can that Grandma stores them in and would ask "What color is this Grandma?"  When Grandma would answer, Addi would say, "Good job Grandma, you smart!"  or "Good girl!"  It was so cute!  Grandma also told me that she was playing Wahoo with one hand with Evan and Payton and a game of marbles with Addi with her other hand.  The kiddos really enjoyed this a lot.  Karsyn and I stayed in the living room visiting with Grandpa James.  Addi joined us after a little while.  She and Karsyn colored quite a few pictures while we were there.

Grandpa James got the girls some cookies.  Karsyn would take a bite out of them and then try to have Grandpa eat them.  Grandpa told me that she was "cuter than a bugs ear!"  It made me smile, because I heard that a lot growing up.  The funny thing is, I still don't know what it means. =)  Grandpa James also said, "Well, Christmas is going to be a little light this year."  He said that every Christmas since I can remember.   Grandma Shirley said that he has said that every Christmas for 58 years. LOL!  We had a good visit and the kids really enjoyed spending time with their Great Grandparents.
