Our little family of 6 had a great Easter Sunday! I hope yours did too! Earlier this week, we took the kiddos to get their pictures made in their Easter outfits and from what I could tell, they turned out great. So, when this was the very best picture I could get of all 4 of them yesterday morning, I was semi okay with that. =)

After we took a few pictures in the morning, we headed off to church. We had Aunt Ashley take a picture of our little family of 6 after services. And yes, we count it a good picture when everyone looks in the same direction. ha!

During Children's Church, the kids went on an Easter Egg hunt. Evan won a prize egg. He was so excited to win a scooter!!!

Last year, we started a new tradition of taking a picture in the tree in the back yard. Here's our picture for this year. Addi was a little scared.

After our pic in the tree, we ate Easter dinner. We hunted a few eggs in the back yard and really enjoyed the day together. I feel blessed to have shared such a great day with my little family. But more than anything, I feel so grateful for the reason why we celebrate Easter. Sure, I love matching outfits and chocolate bunnies. But, that's not why Easter is special. Easter is special because of what Jesus did for us on the cross so many years ago. He took the punishment for our sins. Then, he held true to his promises and he rose again. It's amazing to think of all of the love He has for us!
LOVE the matching dresses! I struggled with matching this year. I just could not find teh baby a shirt to match in his size. lol oh well early start next year. Happy Easter to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI love the girls' matching dresses! And I love the Easter holiday. It looks like you enjoyed a great day.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I love their outfits...blue and white is my favorite on kids! We did light blue and white seersucker pants on the boys this year. I wanted a matching seersucker dress, but the prego ones were way too expensive (all I could find were over $100) so I settled on a coordinating blue and white from Motherhood that was on sale. Ha! I was so glad our Evan is getting the true meaning of Easter now. He even wanted to watch the final episode in The Bible mini-series on the History channel last night. Glad you all had a wonderful Easter!
