Oh what a fun soccer morning it's been! Payton's game was at 9 this morning. We had to be at the fields bright and early at 8:30. I'm so glad that it was a home game! We picked breakfast up on the way and the little girlies and Evan had a picnic. Payton ate in the van.

Payton's team was in the zone this morning. They won 8-1. Payton played Center Forward and scored 2 points for her team. Yay!!!! After she scored her first goal, she was hungry for another. She made sure she was where she was supposed to be and shot hard when she had the chance! She was so excited!!! My throat hurts from screaming so loud.

We had just enough time after Payton's game to make a quick stop by our house. Daddy got off work in enough time to go to Evan's game with us. Evan's team played their first away game. Unlike Payton's team, both of Evan's away games are only about 10 minutes away. Evan was one of the team captains. He's in the yellow jersey, because he played goalie for the first quarter of the game.

Evan is playing the best soccer we've ever seen him play this season. His coach told him that he was playing "Lights out" at the game today. Another dad on the team told us that Evan's a hustler. =)

Evan's team tied their game up 2-2. It was such a good game! His team is playing so well together. I'm sure they'll pull out their first win very soon.

Awww, this is so fun! : )
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Evan and Payton! They were both really playing their hearts out! Don't you just love being a sports mom screaming until your throat hurts, freezing at early morning games, etc.? Haha! It really is a great part of being a parent though. I was really hating that I missed Evan's game Friday because even though they lost, he scored his first run of the season and apparently worked very hard for it even sliding in to home plate! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh and I made a new background and header for you in the teal and pink colors you liked. I think you will like it better. Just let me know if you want me to put it up for you. If you take new pictures this year, we can change them out, but I think the ones on here work well for now. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe can all be screaming sports moms together! It's good to know I'm not the only one, even if currently I only hold the title of "screaming sports (kind of) aunt" for Tessa! When Sam and Rachel start playing organized sports, watch out world :)
