If I were to tell you that Evan loves sports, that would almost be a lie. He more than loves them! He can tell you facts and statistics about almost any sport. He'll watch anything from the French Open to a basketball game from 1983...and he has on many occasions!!! He loves the action, the rules, but most all, he loves the strategics of it all. With that in mind, we decided that it would be a lot of fun to take all 4 kiddos to our local high school's football game. We only live about a block away, so we walked to the football stadium. Evan was so happy, he was a chatterbox the entire way there.

We have to drive by the high school every morning on our way to school. Almost every time, I think to myself that I need to take a picture of the flag. It's just so beautiful. I don't think this picture quite does it justice. As we were walking up, the band started to play the Star Spangled Banner. It was such a nice moment!

The stadium was pretty packed and we had a hard time finding a seat. We made the mistake of sitting behind the high school kids. I forgot from my high school days that they stand up during the entire game!!! Daddy was the only one who could see - a nice perk to being over 6 feet tall. =)
We decided that we needed to move. We managed to find seats where we could see. Once we could see the game, Karsyn thought it was great! She loved clapping for our team! Go Big Blue!!!

Between cheering our team on and using Daddy to do acrobatics, she really enjoyed her first ever football game.
Evan was so excited! Our team was playing very well! I loved watching him jump up every time our team scored!

Payton and Addi really enjoyed the game too! During the second quarter, they were such good helpers when they went with me to the concession stand. I got everyone popcorn. Well, everyone but me. I got a pickle. It has fewer calories, right? Before we knew it, it was half time. The girls LOVED watching the marching band. Payton loved watching the Flag Girls! She can't wait until she's old enough to try out.

We decided to leave after the half time show. The kiddos were all being really good, but we didn't want to walk home in the dark with a bunch of teenage drivers out on the road. And if you can believe it, the kiddos were all starting to get a little cold. I hope that the Fall weather is here to stay! I had to get a picture of Payton and Addi before we left. This wasn't the pose I had in mind, but they are cute, so I'll forgive them.

I'm not sure that Karsyn knew what they were doing either, but she wanted to join in on the fun too.

It was a lot of fun and we really can't wait to take the kids to another game. It was also really nice to see our home town team winning. They were ahead 39-0 when we left. Now, how about a little flash back??? Back when we were but a wee family of 5, in the year 2010, Payton participated in a Dance/Cheerleader Clinic. All of the little girls that participated in the clinic learned a dance and a cheer to perform during the football pre-show. Payton was in kindergarten. She was way too cute dancing out on the field!

Payton had quite a few people come out to watch her! Evan and Stephen sure have grown a lot in the last 3 years!!!

And this little blue-eyed cutie behind the sippy cup is our Addi!!!

When Payton performed that night, I got a little teary eyed! She was so, so cute! Payton tends to be a little shy and reserved, so it made me really proud that she put that behind her to do something that she really wanted to do. Here she is after her big show!!!

Payton was glued to watching the cheerleaders, until we left at half time!

Both nights were really fun! I see a lot of football games in our future!!!
