This week, we signed Evan up to play basketball. He's so excited!!! He'll be playing on a team through his school this year. His practices start the last week of soccer - AHH! But, we'll find a way to work it out, we always do. I can't wait to watch him play!

This week, we are very excited about going to Branson, Mo next week on Fall Break with Grandma, Papa, Uncle Brian, and Aunt Stephanie. We are only going to stay for a couple of days, but while we are there, we are going to go to Silver Dollar City. Evan and Payton can't wait to ride the Outlaw. It's a wooden roller coaster that does 3 loops!!! As always, Addi is most excited about staying in a hotel. ha!
This week, I stocked Addi and Karsyn up on jeans from a great sale at Target. Four pairs of jeans for $18 - yes ma'am! As far as the little girls winter clothes go, I'm just going to get them basics for every day wear and then get a few special things. Can anyone recommend a good Etsy shop?
This week, I bought play-dough for the first time in a long time. The girls want to play with it non stop! In fact, that's what they are doing right now. They each stick to their own can. Karsyn had to have orange, because it's her favorite color. Addi wanted purple for the same reason. Payton is playing with the turquoise, because it's her basketball team color. Evan picked out green, because he loves the Green Bay Packers! ha! Do your kids do that? My kids love to attach a meaning to everything. =)
And that's about all from this week! Hope you all have a great weekend!

I'm not going to recommend an Etsy shop although there are many good ones. If you haven't heard of them, I think you will like this site: http://www.lollywollydoodle.com/collections/girls?gclid=CKqGyOOZlboCFUPl7Aoda3wAgg. Read their story. NC is a historically big textile producer, but when many of these factories closed and moved out of the country for cheaper labor, many of these little textile towns suffered greatly from unemployment and limited jobs. This little business started as one lady working out of her house, and as her business quickly grew, she was able to turn their little town around as she hired local laborers who were out of work. So this is a NC based company, and I can attest that the clothes are excellent quality for a very affordable price for such very special and personalized pieces. If you order something from them, I would love to hear how you like it!
ReplyDeleteAnd 4 pairs of jeans for less than $20 is my kind of shopping! Did they have sales on boy jeans too or just girls? I actually didn't make it to Target this weekend which is very unusual! :-)
I've heard of Lolly Wolly Doodle before! I can't wait to check them out. I will make sure I tell you if I order something from there. I think the boy jeans were on sale too. It was in the toddler clothing section. It's the line that usually runs $5 a pair. It's the little elastic waist jeans.
DeleteI LOVE having Target right in our city now. I've gotten a lot of basics for my kids there including some clothes for next summer. When t-shirts and shorts are less than $2 I need to stock up!
ReplyDeleteWe have a fun vacation planned for next year already too! Read my blog tomorrow to get the details :)
