Our little family is really trying to get into the back to school swing of things. It's been a busy, fun, hectic, crazy, couple of weeks. I made the girls' day earlier this week when I brought their scooters to ride home after school. They LOVED it!!! They asked if they could ride their scooters home every day. =)
I thought that I had the kids' after school activities all planned out and started getting them signed up and enrolled. Then, I got an e-mail stating that the soccer fields are being renovated and all of Evan's games would be out of town. We decided to sit the season out. We immediately started looking into other sports. We decided to sign Evan up for GoJu. Even better, Jason signed up too. I'm so excited that they'll be active and have fun as a father and son. I took Tae-Kwon-Do when I was around Evan's age with my dad, brother and uncle. I got my red belt. I competed in two tournaments and got first place in both. To this day, we all talk about how much fun we had. I'm so happy that my main men will be bonding over martial arts too.

Evan will also be participating in band, Academic Team, and was asked again to be an after school math tutor. He wants to join the Chess Club, but I don't think it will work out with his schedule. We'll see. Payton is going to be taking Hip Hop and Jazz at the dance studio. She's also joining a community service club at school. She'll play basketball later this fall. Addi is doing Tap and Ballet. We sign her up next week to play basketball. She is so, so excited! She's been practicing in the yard with Evan. I'm really impressed with how well she can pass.
Karsyn is signed up for gymnastics, tap, ballet, and jazz. All 3 girls started Master Club at church on Wednesday nights. Karsyn got her vest and won her first badge this week. Evan moved on up to the youth group. He was so excited and we can already see that God has a big plans for Evan. Evan is hoping that he can get some friends from school to come. Needless to say, we are going to be busy, busy this fall. Amazingly, all of the activities work out together. I think I might need to get a pair of running shoes just to keep up. =)

I would invest in a high quality pair of running shoes with all that running around you will be doing! :) I'm looking forward to reading about Addi and basketball -- that sounds fun! And, to me, is a surprising choice for her. And Evan and Jason's activity together sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd I got an e-mail last week that Rachel (who was number 1 on the waiting list all summer) got into the dance class we wanted to sign her up for. So she will be doing dance and music and Sam will be doing LOGOS and Religious School at the synagogue. It's going to be full!
AWESOME idea for the guys, it will be great bonding time, and memories to last a life time.
ReplyDeleteWhew, that is a lot! I feel like both Evan and Brody playing soccer and then Evan's cub scouts is crazy right now. Our Evans are just too much alike. Evan really wants to join a chess club or team too. He loves chess! I have never been great at it. Evan would also love to take martial arts one day so it will be interesting to see how your Evan likes it. Way to go on being such a great juggler, mom! :-)
