Gary & Ann Got Married

This afternoon, Jason and I did something that we haven't done in longer that I'd like to admit.  We went on a real date!!!   Nana and Pops kept our kids so that we could go to a wedding. (Thank you Mom and Dad!!!)  Ann, my best friend's mom, got married to a very nice man named Gary.  Here's our best self portrait.  It was a little windy and a lot sunny. =)

Ann and Gary got married at a historic mansion here in town that has recently underwent renovations.  I could have explored the place all day.  There is so much history in that home and it made me wonder about all of the people who have walked through the same rooms that we did.  There were touches of new and old everywhere.  I really liked the big wrap around porch and this old tandem bike.

Before the wedding, we went inside and I took a picture of the wedding cake.  Kim worked very hard on it and I think that she did a great job!

Then, it was time for the ceremony.  Kim was the Matron of Honor.  She cracked everyone up as she went down the aisle.  She was trying to be silly, so that she wouldn't start crying.  It didn't work.

Little Miss Emily was one of the flower girls.  She was so cute and totally stole the show.  She dropped all of her flower petals.  When she ran out, she tried to pick them back up.  It was way too cute!!!

Ann was a beautiful bride.  She was also a very busy bride, she made all of the dresses.  Here's the wedding party.  Kim couldn't keep the emotion in when she saw her mom walking down the aisle.  It was so sweet!!!

The Pastor pronounced them man and wife.  Gary got to kiss his bride!  I'm so excited for these two.  I'm glad that they both found someone to share their lives with.

I'm praying that Gary and Ann will have a long happy marriage.  I'm so glad that we could be a part of their special day!
