A few blogs that I follow have put out a challenge to blog every day for the entire month of May. I thought I'd give it a try. This is going to be a VERY busy month, so I should have plenty of things to blog about. And yes, I have tried and failed at doing this before, but it's all for fun, so why not?
Tomorrow night, Miss Addisyn Hope will be graduating from her PK-3 class. I can't tell you just how proud I am of her! Going to school this year has been great for her! She goes every week on Tuesday and Thursday for about 3 hours. Since she gradates tomorrow, I thought it'd be fun to take a look back at past graduations of our little family of 6.
Here's Jason, Evan, and Payton the night of Evan's PK-3 Graduation. He had just turned 4 a couple of weeks before he graduated. He LOVED going to the PK-3 program. He went with our friend, Zoe, and they had so much fun going to school together. They were in the same song during the program and they were way too cute!

The following year, Payton graduated from the PK-3 program and Evan graduated from the PK-4 Program. Payton was in the 'Stop Light Song.' During that school year, I was a teacher's assistant at the school on the days that Payton went. I worked in lieu of tuition. It was a lot of fun!

Evan sang in 'The Wheels on the Bus' group. He took his job very seriously. Addi was just a few weeks away from being born the night of this graduation. I remember thinking that night that it wouldn't seem long until she would be graduating, and my goodness, was I right. Oh how time goes by so quickly! Evan's wearing the green sweater vest.

Then, it was diploma time. The director at the time, Mrs. Kegley, is the sweetest woman ever! Both Evan and Payton love her so much!

Evan made the audience crack up during his graduation walk. He waved at EVERYONE! Other parents started taking his picture, because he was being so funny! Jason and I just looked at each other and laughed.

The next school year was a big one. Evan and Payton started the school year off with a new baby sister and at a new school. It was their first year in public school. Evan started Kindergarten and Payton started Preschool. We elected for Payton to do public preschool, since at that point, it was still half day and so that they could start at their new school together. That year, Evan graduated from Kindergarten. His program was called Dino-Stars! He was in the T-Rex group. This picture was actually taken the day after his program, he had to wear his shirt for a field trip. =)

Here's a shot of the graduating class during the performance. It was such a cute program! Each student got a small speaking part and got to be center stage for their group dance.

Payton graduated from Kindergarten in 2011. Evan was a little disappointed that he didn't have a first grade graduation. He didn't understand why he didn't. ha! Payton's program was super cute too. Her program was tittled 'Barnyard Moosical!'

The teacher from Payton's art class designed the set. I think it turned out so cute! Payton is the girl in the purple shirt with the piggy tails. My niece, Jessi, is right behind her. I love that they were able to graduate together! At that graduation, I was just a few weeks away from having Karsyn. =)

I love being able to look back. It makes me feel so blessed to be Evan, Payton, Addi, and Karsyn's mom. It also makes me realize just how fast times goes by!
our babies are growing up!!! so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Sam is going to have a preschool graduation or not, but I know that if he does I will cry buckets! Your kids are so sweet in their graduation photos :)
ReplyDeleteSadly, I don't know if Evan's school does a Kindergarten graduation. I haven't heard anything yet. He missed his actual preschool graduation last year because of our DW trip but thankfully his teachers let him have his own little ceremony. I started crying when the graduation music started playing. It is just such a big sign of them growing up. I love the memories you shared!
