Shred, Sort, Scrub, & Sanatize

When you have small children, you always know that there is a big no-no around the corner when you only hear quiet.  That was the case yesterday afternoon.  Addi and Karsyn dumped out my shred box in the dining room floor.  Addi showed me how fun it was to make a snow shred angel.

I told the girls they made a BIG mess and Karsyn said, "Oh, sorry!"  She ran into the kitchen and grabbed the broom and dust pan.  She tried her very best to clean up, but she had a really hard time.  Shredded paper is hard to sweep up!  It sticks to your broom and your hair!  My goodness!  Daddy and the girls cleaned the mess all up, while I went to pick Evan and Payton up from school. =)

Later that evening, Evan, Payton, and I went to our church.  We had plans to meet Aunt Ashley, Jessi, Jman, and Rhonda for a night of sorting, scrubbing and sanatizing the toddler nursery toys!  We didn't realize just how big this task would be!  I am super proud of how hard these kiddos worked! They never complained once about anything that we asked them to do!

We started out by sorting all of the toys.  This part of the job really didn't take too long.  Aunt Ashley directed the team.

After we had all the toys sorted, we started scrubbing and sanitizing them!  The kiddos liked that they got to wear gloves.

Scrubbing and sanitizing the toys took FOREVER!!!!!  It gave us plenty of time to think of a new system to make sure that we always have a squeaky clean nursery!  By the end of the night, we were all really tired, but I'm so glad that we were able to help out!

One last thing, I'm really trying to blog every day in May.  Right now, we are in a very busy season, so that makes it easy.  Soon, we'll be moving at a much slower pace.  So, if you have any questions you'd like for me to answer, ask away.  I'd love to do a post or posts where I'm answering your questions!!!

  1. That shredded paper looks simultaneously fun and a complete headache. Yay to your husband and the girls for cleaning it up!

And I will think of a question to ask... I just can't think of one right now :)
