This and That on Thursday

Thursday is one of the busiest days of the week for our little family.  Here's a little bit of this and that from today.  First, this is the only picture I took today.  I need to take more pictures of us!  I am so bad about that, but I honestly treasure the pictures of Jason and I as a couple.

  • This morning, I was offered a job!  The director of Addi's school asked me to be a long term sub at the beginning of next school year.  One of the sweet teachers is going to be on maternity leave.  I've actually worked at the school before as a teacher's assistant, but it was under another director. I was asked to work there when Evan and Payton went to school and I was pregnant with Addi.  I'll be more than happy to help if they need me.  I'll only be able to help out on the days that Karsyn goes to school, so they might need to find someone else.  I'll let you all know what happens.
  • This morning after school drop offs, Karsyn had Tot Gym class.  The class has been great this winter to help her release some energy!  When she started the class, there were a ton of kids in it.  Now, there's only about 10 kids in the class and Karsyn loves seeing her little friends each week.  I really enjoy the chance to visit with a few of their moms.  It's fun for both of us.
  • Right after Tot Gym, Karsyn and I pick Addi up from school.  We ate lunch and then Addi had Speech Therapy.  Meeting Ms. Susan every other week is going well.  Addi isn't losing any skills.  There are times though when it seems like Addi is getting bored with the process.  Ms. Susan and I talked about ways to keep her interested and I'm excited to see if they work.  We're always having to mix things up with Addi, because she has the tendency to memorize cards and games.  Sometimes, it's tough to know if she knows the concept or if she just knows the answer that's expected.
  • After Speech, the girls, Daddy, and I ran a few errands.  I used a gift card I got for Christmas - I got two new shirts.  We washed all the sand and salt off Jason's car.  Then, we took the girls to play for a while.
  • Evan and Payton both had soccer practice this evening.  Aunt Kary and I walked big circles around the fields to watch Evan, Payton, and Stephen practice.  It was fun.  This is Payton's first season to play U-10.  She's doing a great job.  Her coach complemented her on being aggressive.  Evan's team scrimmaged and he scored the first goal of the night.  I'm really looking forward to a fun season.  Payton plays her first game this weekend.  Evan's games will start after Spring Break.
  • That wraps up our Thursday.  How was yours?

  1. I love that picture of you and Jason. And I love Tracy & Jay! Ha! Also, I don't get near enough pictures of Dave and I. I'm hoping New Zealand will change that :)

Yay for maybe having some work outside the home next year. I may be joining you in that endeavour. I will blog about it once I know for sure what is going on :)

I'm sorry I am so behind on blog reading I don't even remember last Thursday. I think that might have been the day I went shopping with Rachel, volunteered in her classroom and then had LOGOS that evening. It was a really full day and I was looking forward to March Break starting. Was that last Thursday? :)
