Friday Fun Day {May 2, 2014}

The first Friday of each month, Evan and Payton's school has a hat and popcorn day.  I had to mark this special day with pictures, because it was Evan's very last hat day of elementary school.  I may have shed a few tears.  In a few short weeks, this guy will be in middle school.

Payton decided not to wear a hat, but she still wanted me to take her picture.  She's already starting to get a tan.  She takes after her daddy that way.

Daddy did a few chores around the house while Karsyn, Addi and I went to the mall with Nana.  We were trying to find all of the right accessories for the girls' dance pictures.  We had no such luck. But, we still enjoyed ourselves and Nana bought the girls a milk shake to share.

After we left the mall, we went and signed Evan up for summer basketball.  He's so excited about playing!  Payton's decided to take the summer off of sports.  She wants to take as many painting classes as possible.  Addi and Karsyn are going to take a gymnastics class together. We dropped Nana off at her house and our next stop was to pick Evan and Payton up from school.  After school, our little family of 6 went to pick up Daddy a few new work shirts.  We've been looking everywhere for a specific color of dress shirt, but have yet to find any in the right size and fit.  We went to Kohl's in Tulsa and they didn't have any, but a store in a town about 45 minutes away did.  We decided to have a fun evening and to go out to dinner while we went to get the shirts.  On the way, we heard a lot of giggling from the back seat.  I turned around to see Karsyn wearing Evan's glasses. Silly girl!

Silly Karsyn!!!
While we were trying to decide where to eat dinner, we saw a goose and her goslings at the shopping center.  We watched this little family for the longest time.  The littlest one was weak on it's feet.  It got a little behind the others and Mama Goose honked until it caught up. This picture was right before that happened.  It was so much fun to watch. The kiddos thought it was the greatest thing ever!

We couldn't decide where to go out to dinner.  So, we let the kids pick and they chose Golden Corral. Oy!  I'm not the biggest fan of buffet and I ended up doing terrible damage to my diet. I guess for one night, it's okay. The kids all like to eat different things for dinner, but they all agree that cotton candy is best for dessert.

It was a fun Friday!  I hope you had a great one too!
