This morning, we were supposed to go to Karsyn's last Tot Gym Class, but Mrs. Susan, Addi's Speech Therapist, needed to do Addi's session at the same time as the class. It made me really glad that Karsyn got to join in on Addi's class yesterday, but kind of sad that she missed seeing her little friends one last time. The kiddos still had a lot of fun. Mrs. Susan is the sweetest person ever and incorporated all of them in Addi's session. They all played a game with sight words. Addi did a great job! She's starting to know quite a few. I'm sure we'll be adding another full fledge reader into our family in no time. We are relaxing a little on the letter S and working on Addi's TH blend in the beginning of words. After speech, we headed to sign up for yet another summer reading program. Yesterday, we signed up in our little town. Today, we signed up for T-Town's. It's a much bigger program with a much bigger library system. Today, we went to one of their biggest locations that has a nautical themed auditorium. The kids loved seeing the big sail boat outside. We had to stop for a picture. They are pretending to be at sea. ha!
This library has the nicest kids area! After we signed up for the program and picked out our books, the littlest ladies played in the play area. This is the stairway that leads to nowhere. It's just one of the many great areas to curl up with a book. The girls brought a few toys up and played away.
While the little girls played with the toys, Evan and Payton played a few computer games. I love that they can all do something they enjoy and we're all right there together. A few times, the little ladies joined in on the computer fun. We spent close to an hour at the library. We usually go to the library close to the splash pad, but I think we'll be going to this one a little more often. It was a lot of fun, well except for the part where Karsyn tore the security sticker off of the book she checked out. Eeek!!!!
We left the library and headed to a near by park.

We stayed at the park for a short time and then we headed home. This evening, the kiddos talked me into going to a party at our dentist's office. They celebrated 6 years in business. We went and enjoyed hot dogs, cookies, chips, and pop in the waiting room. Evan and Payton thought it was ironic to be eating junk food at the dentist. ha! We got some free toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, chap sticks and a candle. We also entered to win $500 off of braces. I'm really hoping we win!! =) Hope you've had a great day too!

I wish we had a cool library like that near our house! That children's area looks like a ton of fun :) And I hope you win the money off the braces...
ReplyDeleteThe children's area is so nice there. We will be spending a lot of time there this summer. It's a nice way to get out of the house. We didn't win...boo!
DeleteThat is a very cool library and playground too! I love finding treasures like that. My Evan would love that dino slide, and Brody would love the choo choo of course. Hopefully, we will get to the library some this summer when Evan is out of school. I don't know if we have any libraries that cool though. There is a pretty cool one in the neighboring town, but I'm not sure if we can join there or not.
ReplyDeleteIt was really fun! The kids are already asking to go back. =) Hopefully, you'll be able to join the really cool one.
