The Pumpkin Patch {2014}

This morning, our little family visited the same church we did last week on our quest to find a new church.  When I picked up the little ladies from their class after service, Karsyn smiled at me really big said, "I like this church the best.  I don't want to go anywhere else."  Daddy seems to agree.  Maybe we've finally found the one? I just don't know.  After church, we met Grandma Beverly and Papa Floyd for lunch.  Then, we headed to a new to us pumpkin patch.  I've heard such great things about it from our friends and couldn't wait to spend a fall afternoon there.  As we pulled into the parking lot, the kids were super excited!  They were all being so cute that Jason and I just kept looking at each other and smiling.  The kiddos each got a wrist band and then we took a ton of few pictures.  (So, I finally figured out what was wrong with my camera and took a bunch of pictures.  Grab your self a snack and get ready for a picture-tastic post.)

Then, it was time for inflatable fun!
The kiddos had to wait very patiently.

Bouncy house fun!
Addi
Payton - this picture cracks me up!
Karsyn could do it all by herself!
Nothing but net for Payton.

Face painting was next on the agenda.  I took a cute picture of Grandma and Papa while Daddy and the kiddos waited in line.

Addi went first.  She was very proud of her pumpkin.
I think Addi looks beautiful in this picture.

During all of excitement chatter pulling into the parking lot, Karsyn announced to us all that she would get a butterfly painted on her face. I thought she would change her mind and go for a pumpkin like Addi, but Karsyn was sure about what she wanted.
She looks like such a big girl!
I love her cheesy smile!  Pretty little lady!
Payton went for a cat face!
Payton said the paint was cold!
Pretty Kitty!
We teased Evan and asked him if he wanted OSU since he was wearing orange.  He didn't think it was too funny. ha!  He was faithful to his Sooners and got an OU.
I know the day is coming soon when he'll think he's too big for this!
Boomer Sooner!
After the kids had pretty painted faces, we went to the petting zoo.  This is always a box of chocolates for our kids - you just never know what you are going to get.  Karsyn decided that she HATED it and didn't want to go in.  Payton usually loves animals, but didn't really want to touch anything.  Addi would only go in if Papa went with her.  Evan pet the goats.  He's usually doesn't like them too much.

Next up, was the hay maze.  Evan was really looking forward to it, but it was kind of um...lame.  It took exactly 20 seconds to get through.

But, everyone had a great time in the tent full of fun.
Karsyn loved playing in the corn.
She couldn't get Addi to play fast enough.
They could have done this for hours!
But, horseshoes was fun too!
Lots of fun!
Evan couldn't get enough of this boot game.
After the fun tent, Grandma and Papa had to leave.  Daddy took the little ladies to a play area that was just their size.

Then, it was time to go home, but not before a clown handed all of the kiddos popcorn and invited them to a fall festival.  It was such a great day!

  1. What a fun day at the pumpkin patch. I can't wait to go. It is always one of our favorite fall events. We will likely go next month. I don't think Evan will necessarily outgrow having his face painted...he just may be one of those college boys who paints his whole body for sporting events. Haha!

    1. All of the pumpkin patches in our area close down on Halloween. I wish they would stay open longer. I can't wait to read all about your family's trip. =) It wouldn't surprise me at all if Evan did something like that. ha!

  2. Except for the hay bale maze, this looks like a really fun pumpkin patch. I love all the pictures. Karsyn is such a cutie, Addi and Payton are beautiful, and I agree with Sherry, Evan might just be painting his whole body in team colours one day!!!

Our visit this year was so cold we didn't really do much. Thankfully, Dave's parents hung out with the kids while they played, and Dave and I had a little date time. (House organizing -- whoo hoo!!!)
