Famous & CFA Fun

Guess who was picked as the Doodler of the Day and was featured by Lolly Wolly Doodle on Instagram?????

That's right!  None other than Miss Addisyn Hope!  She was soooo excited when I told her that she's famous...even if it is for just one day. =)

Before we found out that Addi's a super star, Jason and I took our littlest ladies out to lunch.  I know, I know we've sworn off fast food, but our girls needed to get out of the house and have some play time.  The girls really wanted to go to Chick-Fil-A, so that's where we went.
Is it just me or does Karsyn look like she's a first grader?

I tried their Chicken Tortilla Soup.  It's yummy and low cal!   When we got there, I was surprised that it wasn't too busy.  As soon as we got our food, customers started piling in.  The girls ate and we actually got quite a bit of time in the playroom before it was crazy busy.
Addi & Karsyn making matches!
I really enjoyed watching Karsyn being social with a boy her age.  She walked up to him and said hi.  She asked him if he wanted to play in the car and then said, "Come on, follow me!"  She also loved telling Addi what to do and where to go. ha!   When she wasn't chatting away, she'd fly up the platforms and whiz down the slide. Addi, like most of the time, played very cautiously in the play area.  She had fun, but for some reason decided that she was afraid to go down the slide. After the girls got a lot of play time in, we ran a few errands while we were still in Tulsa.
Later in the afternoon, we picked Evan and Payton up from school.  They were happy to know that it was breakfast for dinner night.  We started our new tradition earlier this year and the kids love it.  Tonight, I made banana pancakes.  The kids gobbled them all down and without any syrup!
Hope you all had a great Friday!

  1. Sweet! We don't do a lot of fast food, but Chick-fil-a is our exception. They have some good options and are trying harder to remove yucky stuff from their food. That Karsyn sounds like such a character. Addi's personality is a lot like Evan's. He's always been my cautious child. I've missed keeping up with you on here, friend. I have so much to fill you in on. Wish we could do so in person. Sigh.

  4. Congratulations to Addi on her fame! I can't wait to meet her and then I can say I know someone famous :) That was a totally cute picture of her, by the way!

And we've been having a tradition of Saturday Night Homemade Pizza and I love it! I really like not having to make decisions about what to make for supper one night a week.

And I think fast food once in awhile is okay, it's the fallback habit that we're working on. (ie. We're too busy/lazy/tired to cook -- let's eat out!).
