This week, we've had more than our fair share of winter weather. Monday was a snow day and we've been waiting and watching to see if the kiddos will have another. We've had a little more snow, but the roads are in pretty good shape. School has stayed in session. I'm still kind of hoping for one more good snow so we can go sledding.

Payton & Katelyn
This week, Payton could not wait to get to ballet class. Payton LOVES that Katelyn is in her class. She looks forward to seeing her every week. Tonight, Katelyn dropped an invitation for her slumber party off to Payton. Pay is counting down the days until the party. She can't wait!

Addi
This week, and really for the last few weeks, Jason and I have been thinking about next school year for Addi. We know she's ready for full day, but we were trying to decide between preschool or kindergarten. I've been pretty stressed about it. On the way to pick Addi up from school today, I went to the Lord in prayer and just laid it all down at his feet.
After school, Addi had speech therapy. When her session was wrapping up, Ms. Susan told us that she thinks Addi's ready to start seeing her every other week, instead of weekly! I asked her about school and Ms. Susan said that she feels like Addi is ready for Kindergarten. She said that Addi is very smart and that if she does preschool again, she'll be bored. All of my worry has now been replaced with praise. God is so good!

This week, Karsyn tried to ride Mickey like a pony. She's so silly! On the potty training front, she's a been telling me that she needs to go potty, but we're still waiting to have a success.

Evan
This week, Evan found out that he has a make up game this Saturday. Here he is at practice tonight. I LOVE watching him play.
What have you been doing this week?

I am so glad you got some peace about Addi's school situation. I was going to say that I don't see any reason to hold her back and feel that holding a child back with younger kids doesn't seem to help them advance. I am sure she will do fine and being a quieter child definitely does not mean she isn't intelligent. Likely it is the exact opposite and speaks towards more maturity. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm am super behind on my blog reading, as you can tell, but I finally have some free hours to catch up with you all so Yay! I am so thankful you have received a definitive answer about Addi's schooling next year. It is so great to hear how much she is improving!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember what I did last week (which is when you asked the question) but this week I have been dealing with a sick Rachel (who is better now - yay!), and hosting my dad. Fun times. Have a good weekend :)
