Let's Get Bouncy

My goodness!  Is it just me or did the month of February fly by?  I can't believe today is the last day of the month!  At least it ended on a Friday, so we could have a little fun.  Today, Jason and I took our littlest ladies to Bounce U for Preschool Play Date.  Karsyn has been a little bouncy house obsessed since she got to jump away in one on Valentine's Day during her Tot Gym Class.  Addi used to HATE bouncy houses, but she's a huge fan now.  We went this morning and the girls had so much fun!  They went down the slides, climbed walls, ran obstacle courses, and jumped on trampolines.  Both girls grinned ear to ear the entire time!   At one point, Karsyn got a little trapped and I had to jump in and save her.  Let me tell you friends, that was a work out!  The girls had so much fun and we can't wait to go back!

The girls worked up quite an appetite jumping, so we tried a new restaurant that I've been very excited about trying called Zoe's Kitchen.  They serve fresh foods with lots of healthy options.  They are new to our area, so the restaurant was very busy.  The food was very good!  Jason didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I did, so maybe it'll be a good place to go with friends.

After lunch, the girls and I took a quick trip to Hobby Lobby with Nana.  We picked up a couple of patterns so that we can attempt to make the girls some cute ruffled pants.  We spent a wee bit more time there than we should have, so Nana had to come with me to pick up Evan and Payton from school.  They were so excited to see her in the car. =)

We ended our evening by doing something a little wild and risky.  We decided to go grocery shopping as a family less than an hour before bedtime.  If that's not crazy, I don't know what is.  =)  In all honesty, the kiddos were really good.  We rolled out of the grocery store at 8:23.  That's a full 23 minutes after bedtime!!!  We weren't quite ready to end our fun.  Daddy decided to make a run to the kiddos' favorite ice cream shop on the way home.  They were all so excited!  We got home and by the time I had the groceries all unloaded and put away, the kiddos were all sleeping.

Hope you all had a great Friday and here's to a wonderful March!

  1. Okay, either you buy more groceries than we do or your kiddos go to bed much easier than ours. We've learned that stretching bedtime to do groceries doesn't work well with out kids :) Ha!

And yes, Sam always get stuck in bounce houses too. sigh.

    1. This was totally not our norm. Jason's been working a lot of hours the past few weeks, so we wanted to spend time together and we needed to stock up before bad weather hit. We did buy quite a few groceries.

My kiddos do go to bed pretty easy. We try to have them in bed every school night by 8:00. Having Evan and Payton only 13 months apart meant that I followed a very strict daily schedule. I've eased up on a lot of things...mainly because having 4 kids means you have to be flexible. But, bedtime is one area that we have to keep very routine.
